Welcome to the 9th Grade Math B Blog!

Hello MSI Visionaries!

As a class, we now have our very own Math B blog. You previewed the blog that the 9th grade created last year, and this year you will have the opportunity to create a new, unique Math B blog. The purpose of this website is twofold: to post projects on the world wide web for you to share with your peers (and the world!), and also to serve as a study aide as you prepare for tests and the Regents exam. I look forward to reading your posts and the comments you share with one another.

Remember: Blogging + Math B = 100% Success!

Happy Blogging!
Mrs. Collins

Case of the Week #2

Your first blog case assignment, MSI visionaries, is to create your first post on our 9th Grade Math B Blog. In order to be a part of our Math B Blog community, you must be invited. This e-invitation was sent to your new email account, which Mrs. Collins opened for you. REMEMBER THAT YOUR SCHOOL EMAIL ADDRESS IS TO BE USED FOR SCHOOL STUFF AND CORRESPONDENCE WITH MRS. COLLINS ONLY-DO NOT USE IT AS YOUR PERSONAL EMAIL ACCOUNT, BECAUSE IT WILL BE MONITORED. Follow the directions below to create your first posting:

1. Open up the web page www.gaggle.net

2. For username, type in your first and last name together with no spaces. Also, no capital letters; all lower case.

3. For password, type: bronxprep.

4. Click on the 'User Options' on the bottom of the page. This will take you to a page where you can change the password. You should change your password, so no one else can check your email account.

5. Next, click on the 'Write Mail' option at the bottom of the page. Write an email to Mrs. Collins letting her know your new password. Mrs. Collins' email address is: mrs.collins@gmail.com.

6. After you have sent the email to mrs.collins@gmail.com, you are now going to open your invite to be a member of the 9th Grade Math B Blog. It is important that you click only once on the options, and follow the directions given. Your email address is:

yourfirstandlastname@gaggle.net

7. Once you have become a member of the blog, you can create your first post! Click on 'create', and in the Title section write your first name.

8. Write 1 paragraph (5-15 sentences) introducing yourself to the blog community, with such info as your name, year in high school, school, hobbies, favorite classes, zodiac signs, etc. Then discuss what you have learned so far in Math B class this year. Finally, conclude with your thoughts on what a math blog is and your goal for the 9th Grade Math B blog over the course of this year.
